I would just like to tell everyone a little about about myself that some may not know.

I proudly served my country for 6 1/2 years in the United States Marine Corps as a Communication Lineman, and then when on to be a Drill Instructor for 4 1/2 years. I served from September 1969 to April 1976. That is why I take pride in my uniform and in my job.

In November 1978 I took my first step into law enforcement, becoming a Deputy Sheriff with the Fayette County Sheriff's department. I served as a Road Deputy. I was promoted to Patrol Sergeant during that time.

In February 1991 I was hired by the Danville Police Department as a Patrol Officer. I later was a Detective there, and went on to become Patrol Sergeant.

Many good things happened during that time. I met and married my wife, Robin Parks, and had a wonderful daughter, Katlyn Parks.

In 1999, after 22 years of police work, I retired and went to work at Autozone, saying I was through with police work. This was not to be true.

In 2008 I became the Chief of Police in the City of Perryville, serving until 2014.

In 2017, the Boyle County Sheriff's Department hired me for court security. In 2018 I became a School Resource Office for the Danville Schools, serving to the present time.

I just want to let everyone know that if you elect Charles Parks as Sheriff of Boyle County, you will elect experience.

I would like to have your vote.
