All the Democratic Candidates: Local Races

County Judge-Executive: Trille Bottom, our long-serving County Clerk, will run against first-term Judge Howard Hunt.


County Clerk: Sara Baird Henry, current Deputy County Clerk, will look to succeed her retiring boss.


County Sheriff: Long-serving Deputy Charles Parks will look to succeed retiring Derek Robbins.


Property Valuation Administrator: Incumbent Lacresha Gibson is unopposed.


Coroner: Mike Wilder, former Emergency Management director, is unopposed for the open seat.


Fiscal Court Magistrate:

District 1: Terry Hogue and Jeff Reardon will face off in the primary, to replace Republican Tom Ellis.

District 2: Tina Lynn will face the winner of the Republican primary between incumbent Ronnie Short and Paula Bodner.

District 3: Incumbent Democrat Phil Sammons will face Barry Harmon

District 4: Former Planning and Zoning Chair Jerry Leber will face Keagan Hinkle in the primary; the winner will try to unseat Jason Cullen.

District 5: Incumbent Democrat Jamey Gay is unopposed.

District 6: Incumbent Democrat John Caywood will face Steven Sleeper.


Constable:

District 1: Don ("Buck") Sawyer will face the winner of the Republican primary between Andrew Hourigan and Darrel Lyons

District 2: Democrat Dennis Curtsinger is unopposed

District 3: Democrat James Murphy is unopposed

District 4: No Democrat is running against Jack Hendricks

District 5: Democrat Randall Riley is unopposed

District 6: No Democrat is running against Timothy Gooch


No Democrats have filed for Jailer or County Attorney.


Mayor, City Commission, and Judicial races are non-partisan
